About The Position

Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate ICU Registered Nurse (RN) to provide exceptional care to critically ill patients in a fast-paced clinical environment. This role requires strong critical thinking, advanced clinical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes. The ideal candidate will be comfortable taking on charge nurse responsibilities and floating to other units as needed.

Requirements

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Massachusetts
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
  • Prior ICU or critical care nursing experience
  • Strong understanding of the nursing process and acute patient care
  • Proficiency in clinical documentation and electronic health records
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
  • Successful completion of facility-specific pharmacology and arrhythmia exams
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
  • Experience with hemodynamic monitoring
  • Ventilator and intracranial pressure (ICP) management experience
  • Charge nurse or leadership experience
  • Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) certification
  • De-escalation certification
  • Trauma Care After Resuscitation (TCAR) certification
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development

Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including physical, psychological, and social evaluations
  • Develop, implement, and update individualized patient care plans
  • Deliver high-quality critical care nursing interventions in the ICU setting
  • Administer medications and closely monitor patient responses
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in electronic medical records
  • Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and allied healthcare professionals
  • Serve as charge nurse and provide leadership support when required
  • Mentor and support ancillary staff and new team members
  • Monitor and manage ventilated patients and critical care equipment
  • Utilize clinical informatics systems effectively
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and patient care evaluations
  • Adhere to all safety protocols, including infection control and blood/body fluid precautions
  • Float to Medical/Surgical and Telemetry units based on operational needs
