Travel Registered Nurse (RN) - Burn Trauma Intermediate Care & Med/Surg
About The Position
Sentara Norfolk General Hospital located in Norfolk, Virginia is hiring a RN Traveler for their Stepdown IMCU & Med-Surg floor! This is a temporary full-time, 14-week assignment for the Night Shift. The Burn Trauma unit is a 34-bed mixed Intermediate Care and Medical/Surgical unit. It includes 17 beds for stepdown/intermediate level of care for neurosurgery, trauma, burns, and orthopedic trauma patients, who are received from the Burn Trauma ICU and Neurosurgical ICU. Additionally, there are 17 beds for Medical/Surgical level of care for neurosurgical, trauma, burns, orthopedic trauma, and bariatric weight loss patients. Nurses on this unit are trained to work both intermediate and medical-surgical sides. The nurse to patient ratio for Intermediate Care beds is 3 to 4, and for Medical/Surgical beds is 5 to 6. The Registered Nurse will function in a collaborative role as part of a team to maintain and support the standards of nursing care and practice, meeting the healthcare needs of patients, their families, and the community.
Requirements
- Associates, Bachelors, Masters, or diploma in the Nursing Field required
- Virginia or Compact Multi-State License in good standing
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- ACLS
- NIH Stroke Scale
- Must have 2 or more years of recent acute care hospital RN experience
