About The Position

Sage Group HealthCare Staffing is seeking a Psychiatric Registered Nurse for a travel/contract position in Jeffersonville, IN. This role is full-time, offering a 13-week contract with a guaranteed 36-hour work week, consisting of three 12-hour night shifts per week. The position is located in an inpatient mental health or behavioral health unit and involves providing comprehensive psychiatric nursing care to adult and children patient populations. The role requires coordination and evaluation of patient care through collaboration with health team members, adhering to the nursing process and standards of care. Responsibilities include assessing patient needs, developing and implementing care plans, patient monitoring, charting, and collaborating with medical staff for patient care planning and administration.

Requirements

Registered Nurse: 2 years - Required
Recent/Current Inpatient Acute Psychiatric Nursing or Behavioral health experience: 2 years – Required
Recent/Current experience and comfortable working with Children and Adult patient populations - Required
ASN or an equivalent – Required
RN License for State of IN or Compact - Required
BLS Certification from AHA or American Red Cross - Required

Nice To Haves

BSN or an equivalent – Highly preferred
CPI Certification - Preferred

Responsibilities

Provide all aspects of Psychiatric nursing care in the assigned units.
Coordinates, and evaluates patient care through collaborative efforts with health team members in accordance with the nursing process and the standards of care and practices.
Demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care, based on physical, psychosocial, educational, safety and related criteria, appropriate to the age of the patients served.
Provide care within Adult and Children Inpatient units, may float to other units if required.
Assess patients’ physical and behavioral health needs and Develop and implement nursing care plans.
Admissions, Patient monitoring and charting.
Collaborate with other medical staff for patient care planning and administration.
