About The Position
We are seeking a skilled Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) to join a dynamic surgical team. The ideal candidate is experienced in perioperative nursing, maintains a sterile environment, and delivers safe, high-quality patient care in the OR setting. Strong clinical judgment, adaptability, and teamwork are essential for success in this role.
Requirements
- Active New York State RN license
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- Minimum 2+ years of RN experience required
- BLS certification required
- Must be able to work rotating shifts and on-call schedule
- Knowledge of aseptic technique and sterile field maintenance
- Experience with surgical instrumentation and OR equipment
- Basic understanding of lethal dysrhythmia interpretation
- Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
Nice To Haves
- ACLS preferred
- Recent Operating Room experience strongly preferred
Responsibilities
- Deliver safe, high-quality patient care in the OR setting.
- Maintain a sterile environment.
- Work rotating shifts and on-call schedule.
- Complete and pass the AORN Perioperative 101 Program (6 months) if lacking recent OR experience, as a condition of employment.
- Recognize and respond to safety risks and patient needs.
- Interpret lethal dysrhythmia.
