Heartline Staffing, in partnership with Purple Cow Recruiting, is seeking an experienced Travel Registered Nurse for a Mother-Baby / Postpartum assignment in Columbus, Ohio. This role supports a high-volume inpatient postpartum unit providing family-centered care to postpartum patients and healthy newborns in a leading academic medical center. POSITION OVERVIEW This opportunity is ideal for nurses with strong postpartum and couplet care experience who are comfortable managing both maternal and newborn care in a fast-paced, team-based environment. ASSIGNMENT DETAILS • Contract Length: 13 weeks • Shift: Night shift, 3x12 (1900–0730) • Hours: 36 per week • Every other weekend required • Floating within similar acuity units required • Charting: Epic COMPENSATION • Weekly Gross: $2,317 • Pay package includes taxable hourly wages and tax-free stipends when applicable • Locals accepted at same rate CLINICAL FOCUS • Postpartum and couplet care • Vaginal and cesarean recovery • Neonatal abstinence syndrome (NAS) care • Maternal complications including hemorrhage and preeclampsia • Patient education and discharge planning UNIT HIGHLIGHTS • 40-bed postpartum unit • Family-centered care model • High-volume academic medical center • Strong interdisciplinary support team
Requirements
- Active RN license REQUIRED (Ohio or Compact, in hand at submission)
- Minimum 2 years postpartum experience REQUIRED
- Strong couplet care experience REQUIRED
- BLS REQUIRED
- NRP REQUIRED
- IV start skills REQUIRED
- Labor & Delivery experience REQUIRED
- Epic experience REQUIRED
- Telemetry interpretation REQUIRED (EKG exam prior to start)
- Ability to float within similar acuity units REQUIRED
