About The Position
Sentara Norfolk General 6K Medicine Unit is hiring for a Registered Nurse for a Temporary Traveler Position! This is a Temporary Full Time 14-week assignment for a Registered Nurse (RN) in the Medical/Surgical unit. The role involves working on a beautiful, brand new 24 bed Medicine unit equipped with new computers in every room and charting stations in hallways with windows to visualize patients. The unit utilizes Blood pressure machines that integrate with EPIC for Real Time Documentation. The patient population is diverse, including cardiac, cardiac prep, renal failure, vascular, sepsis, pneumonia, sickle cell, OR-Prep, and various wound care cases.
Requirements
- Associates, Bachelors, Masters, or diploma in the Nursing Field required
- Virginia or Compact Multi-State License in good standing
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- NIH Stroke Scale
- 2 or more years of recent acute care hospital RN experience
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care as a Registered Nurse in a Medical/Surgical unit.
- Utilize new technology including computers in every room and charting stations.
- Integrate with EPIC for Real Time Documentation using advanced blood pressure machines.
- Care for a diverse patient population including cardiac, renal failure, vascular, sepsis, pneumonia, sickle cell, OR-Prep, and wound care.
