About The Position
NurseAmerica is seeking an experienced Outpatient Infusion Registered Nurse for a 13-week travel assignment in Utica, New York. The nurse will provide care to adult and geriatric patients in a fast-paced outpatient infusion center, including patients receiving oncology, neurology, anemia, gastrointestinal, and other infusion treatments. The assignment accepts local candidates subject to a 75-mile radius rule. The schedule is days, with five 8-hour shifts per week.
Requirements
- Active RN license.
- BLS and ACLS certifications.
- Chemotherapy certification.
- At least 1 year of outpatient infusion experience.
- Experience with blood product administration.
- Strong assessment and critical-thinking skills.
Responsibilities
- Administer chemotherapy, infusion therapies, and blood products.
- Monitor patients for treatment reactions and complications.
- Provide care for oncology, neurology, anemia, gastrointestinal, and other infusion patients.
- Document and coordinate care using EPIC.
- Float as needed within assigned areas.
