Travel Registered Nurse – Hospice
About The Position
Expand Access. Travel with Purpose. Deliver Compassionate Hospice Care. Would you enjoy making a difference across multiple communities while stepping in where care is needed most? We’re looking for a Hospice RN – Regional Support to join our team. In this dynamic role, you’ll provide direct care to patients and support to families, while also serving as a floating clinician—temporarily assigned to different hospice branches based on census needs or staffing gaps. If you’re energized by new settings, adaptable to change, and passionate about purpose-driven care, this role could be a perfect fit. Territory (East TN) to include: Kingsport, Johnson City, Greeneville, Morristown, Sevierville, Knoxville, Crossville, Athens, Cleveland and Chattanooga. Hospice Case Manager experience required.
Requirements
- Current, unencipred RN license in the state of employment
- Minimum of 1 year of RN experience (hospice, home health, acute care, long-term care, oncology or other high acuity setting)
- Current CPR certification
- Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation
- Hospice Case Manager experience required

Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality, compassionate nursing care for hospice patients
- Manage and implement individualized plans of care
- Support and lead interdisciplinary team members (LPNs, CNAs, HHAs, etc.)
- Assess and address patients’ physical, emotional, spiritual, and environmental needs
- Accurately document all care provided and ensure compliance with hospice protocols
- Educate families and caregivers on care instructions, medications, and safety
- Participate in the on-call rotation and provide after-hours care as needed
- Collaborate with physicians, referral sources, and the care team
- Assist with referrals, regulatory documentation, and payer compliance
- Travel to various Gentiva hospice locations as assigned to fill urgent needs
