About The Position

Travel Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department at the Main Hospital in Cypress, Texas. The unit is on the first floor and has 19 beds. It has 26 staff FTEs hired, with a core need of 33. Day and night shifts each include one charge nurse, one triage nurse, four bedside RNs, one HUC, and one technician. Patient ratios are 4:1 or 5:1. The unit uses Philips equipment and Meditech EMR. The position is scheduled for 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. for 13 weeks. Weekends are rotated, and there are no on-call requirements. Unit policies and guidelines are available through Policy Stat. The dress code is royal blue scrubs.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience is required.
• BLS certification.
• ACLS certification.
• PALS certification.
• NIH Stroke Scale certification.
• TNCC certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide emergency department nursing care, including care related to tPA, STEMI, CPR, laceration repair, and orthopedic care.
• Work a 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. schedule for 13 weeks.
• Participate in a rotating weekend schedule.
