The Travel Registered Nurse delivers nursing care for patients across their life span, and through the nursing process, assesses, plans, implements, coordinates, evaluates and documents the effects of care. Works cooperatively with ancillary, nursing and other patient-care personnel to maintain standards for professional nursing practice. Requirements

  • Current RN license in the State of Pennsylvania/New Jersey required as per assignment.
  • Two years of experience in hemodialysis.
  • Evidence of successful completion of BLS.

Responsibilities

  • Performs in depth, systematic assessment of all assigned patients.
  • Formulates collaborative plan of care and identifies expected patient outcomes.
  • Implements, evaluates and documents patient care interventions and effectiveness is accordance with care plan.
  • Organizes, coordinates and prioritizes patient care consistently utilizing available resources.
  • Coordinates care of the patient with the Physician, Social Worker, Dietitian and other staff members.
  • Functions as a professional role model and resource person providing guidance to co-workers.
  • Maintains departmental records for administrative and regulatory purposes.
  • Participates in identifying unit needs and supporting unit goals and objectives then contributes to the growth of the Patient Care Services Department.
