This role provides overall project management support for several small to medium projects or one large project, supporting senior project management. Travel roles are available in Texas and on the East Coast, with a focus on Data Center Electrical construction. Requirements

  • Proficient in using a computer and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.); Accubid and Oracle preferred

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in the electrical construction industry in a Project Management role.
  • Must have Data Center, Healthcare, or Large Commercial Projects experience

Responsibilities

  • Plan and organize a project under the direction of a Senior Project Manager and/or Division Manager.
  • Supervise and direct project activities, including assigning tasks to Assistant Project Managers, planning, coordinating, circumventing/resolving problem areas, and maintaining all company/project policies, procedures, standards, etc.
  • Provide project management expertise to establish initial client contact, including assessment of scope of work, schedule, and resources.
  • Prepare a complete estimate for the selected project with a detailed review of plans, specifications, and bid form.
  • Establish project objectives, policies, procedures, and performance standards within corporate guidelines.
  • Supervise the preparation and negotiation of all change orders on the project.
  • Monitor construction activities with the onsite Foreman and Area Superintendent to ensure the project is built on schedule and within budget.
  • Investigate potentially serious situations and implement corrective measures within company guidelines and under supervision.
  • Supervise the preparation of all change quotations for presentation to the prime client and assist in negotiating them to a conclusion.
  • Prepare monthly costing reports under the supervision of a Senior PM or Division Manager.
  • Manage financial aspects of contracts (progress billing, rental equipment, income/expenses) to protect the company’s interest and maintain good client relationships.
  • Review any documentation prepared by Assistant Project Manager before submission.
  • Represent the company in project meetings under the guidance of PM II or Sr. Project Manager.
