Travel Physical Therapist
About The Position
Advance Rehabilitation is seeking a full-time Travel Physical Therapist based in or near St. Simons Island, Georgia. This role involves providing coverage for clinics in the coastal Golden Isles region and nearby communities in Southeast Georgia and Northern Florida. The position offers an opportunity to work in a scenic beach town while exploring surrounding areas. The therapist will be responsible for assessing patients, developing and implementing treatment plans, providing direct patient care, documenting progress, and overseeing the work of assistants and technicians. Effective communication with patients, caregivers, physicians, and insurance companies is essential.
Requirements
- Graduate from a CAPTE-accredited Physical Therapy program
- Current state of Georgia Physical Therapy license, CPR certification
- Exercise, sports rehab, and manual-based skills
- Outgoing and energetic personality

Responsibilities
- Assess patients to develop and initiate treatment plans based on the evaluation results
- Provide direct patient care by established protocols and patient care guidelines
- Document findings, progress, and instructions to patients and caregivers
- Responsible for patient care performed by assistants and rehabilitation technicians
- Complete a written plan of care, develop goals based on evaluation findings, and develop a comprehensive program to attain goals
- Implement physical therapy treatment program and provide essential physical therapy treatments
- Communicate effectively with patients/caregivers and professional colleagues, including physicians and insurance companies
