About The Position

A rural hospital located several hundred miles northwest of Anchorage, Alaska, is seeking a full-time Travel Pharmacist. The role is offered as a 16- or 26-week contract, with pay of $90.00 per hour. Housing and flights are provided, and weekly pay and benefits are available.

The pharmacist will review and verify medication orders for accuracy, appropriateness, interactions, dosing, and potential adverse effects. The pharmacist will also collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and optimize patient medication therapy plans.

The position is in a rural, remote Alaskan town northwest of Anchorage. The area offers daily flights to Anchorage and other Alaskan cities, locally owned retail and dining, outdoor activities and wildlife, and a community described as safe for families.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of hospital-based pharmacy experience as a pharmacist.
• An active pharmacy license; an Alaska license is not required.
• Ability to work as a team player.
