About The Position
Rodeo Dental & Orthodontics is a rapidly expanding, multi-specialty dental group with over 100 award-winning doctors providing a comprehensive range of dental services including general dentistry, orthodontics, endodontics, oral surgery, and board-certified pediatric dental care across numerous locations in the United States. We are seeking a Travel Orthodontic Dental Assistant to support our Colorado locations.
Requirements
- Dental practice management software (Open Dental/Dentrix) experience
- Willing to support multiple locations
- Orthodontic DA Experience
- DA Certificate
- Open to support mutliple locations
Nice To Haves
- Bilingual (Spanish) is preferred
Responsibilities
- Assist with Orthodontist in treating patient
- Instruct patient of elastic treatment
- Preparing tray set-ups according to doctor preferences and planned procedures
- Taking diagnostic quality X-Rays and attaching them to the patient chart
- Mixing amalgam, cement, and preparing impression materials
- Pouring, trimming, and polishing impression trays
- Assisting with bonding, banding, adjusting, and debonding orthodontic patients
- Placing and cementing bands
- Setting up orthodontic brackets and removing excess cement from brackets and bands
- Making retainers, bleaching trays, and impressions
- Providing excellent chairside assistance and anticipating next steps to stay in constant mental synchronization with the doctor
- Taking patient initial, progress, and de-bond photos
- Taking scans of patients for clear aligners or models
- Travel to our CO locations
