Heartline Staffing, in partnership with Purple Cow Recruiting, is seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist for a travel assignment in Valdez, Alaska. This role supports a multidisciplinary therapy department serving primarily outpatient pediatric patients, with additional coverage across inpatient and long-term care settings. POSITION OVERVIEW This assignment is ideal for therapists who are adaptable across care settings and comfortable treating pediatric populations while supporting broader patient needs across inpatient, outpatient, and LTC environments. ASSIGNMENT DETAILS • 13-week contract • Day shift 5x8s (08:00–17:00) • 1 position available COMPENSATION Because travel rates change frequently based on market demand and facility needs, our recruiters provide the most current and competitive pay packages during your initial conversation. Each compensation package is customized and may include taxable hourly wages along with tax-free stipends when applicable. CLINICAL RESPONSIBILITIES • Evaluate and treat patients across outpatient, inpatient, and LTC settings • Provide pediatric-focused therapy including developmental treatment and functional activities • Conduct standardized assessments and develop individualized care plans • Support ADLs, mobility, and functional independence • Educate patients and families on treatment plans and home programs • Document care plans, progress, and discharge summaries • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for coordinated patient care WORK ENVIRONMENT • Small community hospital setting • Outpatient pediatric focus with cross-setting coverage • Collaborative interdisciplinary team environment • Epic charting preferred Heartline Staffing is a Strategic Talent Partner with Purple Cow Recruiting. Requirements
- Minimum 1 year Occupational Therapy experience REQUIRED
- BLS certification REQUIRED
- Travel experience REQUIRED
- Experience in outpatient, acute care, and LTC/SNF settings
- Strong knowledge of functional activities, standardized assessments, and developmental treatment
Nice To Haves
- Pediatric experience preferred
- Epic charting preferred
