About The Position

This is a full-time, benefits-eligible role for a Float Clinician I (NP/PA/WHNP/CNM) in Stockton, CA. The position involves traveling to various health centers including North Stockton, Manteca, and Modesto. New graduates are welcome. The role offers a hiring range of $75 - $79/hr plus a float differential of up to $6/hour. The organization is dedicated to providing high-quality reproductive health care, including contraceptive care, abortion services, STI testing and treatment, gender-affirming services, and preventive care. After a 4-6 month training period and a positive 6-month review, clinicians are promoted to Float Clinician II. Float clinicians receive a higher base hourly wage, robust training, paid travel time, mileage reimbursement, and a float differential.

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner (NP), Physician Assistant (PA), Women’s Health NP (WHNP), or Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) program.
Current, unrestricted license to practice in the state of California.
Board Certification
CPR/BLS certification (current or within 30 days of hire).
Strong customer service mindset and ability to thrive in a team-based environment.
Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Windows-based systems)

Responsibilities

Review and interpret the medical and social history of both male and female reproductive health patients.
Perform appropriate medical screening procedures/exams for both male and female patients.
Interpret laboratory data, order additional laboratory investigations when indicated and ensure appropriate follow-up.
Provide a full range of contraceptive methods, including self-administered options and injections.
Perform medical assessment and management of basic STI and genito-urinary conditions for both male and female patients.
Provide medication abortion, as indicated.
Prescribe and educate on emergency contraception.
Diagnose and treat uncomplicated STIs and genito-urinary conditions.
Perform wart treatment and basic dermatological procedures.
Provide gender-affirming hormone therapy and related care.
Offer premenopausal and menopausal health services.
Act as a medical consultant to clinic staff.
Manage emergency situations in the health center.
Participate in staff meetings relating to center management and provide staff training in current medical procedures which are relevant to reproductive health.
Contribute to achieving health center productivity goals.
Demonstrate PPMM customer service standards.
Assist in other areas of center support work as required.
Conduct and interpret medical histories for sexual and reproductive health visits.
Perform pelvic and breast exams, Pap smears, and other screening procedures.
Order and interpret laboratory tests; ensure timely follow-up.
Manage urgent health situations that arise during clinic operations.
Act as a clinical resource for medical assistants and support staff.
Attend staff meetings and contribute to clinic productivity and quality benchmarks.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality care.
