About The Position
We are seeking a Travel Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) or Medical Technologist (MT) for a 13-week assignment at Mount Nittany Medical Center in State College, PA. This position requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent and relevant certification. The role is a generalist position with a need for experience in various laboratory departments, including Chemistry, Hematology, Blood Bank, and Microbiology. The ideal candidate will possess strong skills in quality control, troubleshooting, and laboratory instrumentation. Specimen collection experience is also required.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
- ASCP, AMT, MLS, MT, or equivalent certification.
- Generalist laboratory experience.
- Specimen collection (Phlebotomy) experience.
- Ability to work in Chemistry, Hematology, Blood Bank, Microbiology, and other clinical laboratory departments.
- Strong quality control, troubleshooting, and laboratory instrumentation skills.
Nice To Haves
- Blood Bank experience.
- Microbiology experience.
Responsibilities
- Perform generalist laboratory duties in Chemistry, Hematology, Blood Bank, Microbiology, and other clinical laboratory departments.
- Conduct specimen collection (Phlebotomy).
- Maintain strong quality control procedures.
- Troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation and procedures.
- Operate and maintain laboratory instrumentation.
