About The Position

We’re hiring a Tennessee-based Medical Assistant to complete preventive-care visits while traveling throughout the state. This is a temporary/seasonal, non-exempt, W-2 position expected to last through January 2027, with possible extensions. The role involves supporting Medicare Annual Wellness Visits and other preventive-care activities by completing scheduled in-home member visits. Responsibilities include taking vitals, completing screenings, performing approved point-of-care testing, and accurately documenting visits in the EMR/EHR, while adhering to all clinical, safety, HIPAA, and infection-control procedures.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of Medical Assistant experience
• Medical Assistant certificate, diploma, credential, or equivalent qualification
• Hands-on clinical Medical Assistant experience
• Valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle, current registration, and active auto insurance
• Comfort working independently in patients’ homes
• Ability to meet vaccination and TB/PPD onboarding requirements
• Ability to travel throughout Tennessee, complete overnight assignments, and occasionally travel to nearby states

Nice To Haves

• Medicare Annual Wellness Visit or preventive-care experience
• Home-visit, mobile-care, field-based, or community health experience
• Experience with A1Cs, UAs, specimen collection, or similar point-of-care testing
• Well-Child Visit experience

Responsibilities

• Complete scheduled in-home member visits
• Support Medicare Annual Wellness Visits and other preventive-care activities
• Take vitals, complete screenings, and perform approved point-of-care testing such as A1Cs and UAs
• Document visits accurately in the EMR/EHR
• Follow clinical, safety, HIPAA, and infection-control procedures
• Travel throughout Tennessee based on business and patient coverage needs
• Complete extended and overnight assignments when locations are too far for same-day travel

Benefits

• Mileage is reimbursed at $0.725 per mile between eligible patient visits
• Eligible extended travel expenses are covered, including transportation, rental car when needed, hotel, and meals
