About The Position

Premiere Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Travel Med Surg Charge Nurse for a 12-week assignment in Lewiston, Maine. This role involves assisting the Director with daily department operations, staffing, and workflow management, while also supervising, directing, and evaluating team members. The position ensures effective use of personnel, equipment, and resources, and maintains efficient department operations and patient care standards. The Charge Nurse will also provide direct patient care as needed, monitor patient care plans, and collaborate with physicians and staff to promote positive patient outcomes. A key aspect of the role is supporting a safe, high-quality, and patient-centered care environment, and overseeing staff performance and unit operations during assigned shifts.

Requirements

Current and valid state RN License
Current BLS (AHA) upon hire and maintain current.
Current ACLS (AHA) upon hire and maintain current.
Previous one year of charge nurse experience in Med Surg setting required.
PALS (AHA) upon hire and maintain current.

Responsibilities

Assists the Director with daily department operations, staffing, and workflow management.
