A day in the life of a Travel Estimating Property Adjuster: Review and comply with all individual State requirements that you are working in, regarding any fire escrow or settlement/depreciation requirements. Travel to loss sites and conduct thorough inspections of properties with policy holders, Public Adjusters or contractors. Assign Origin and Cause inspectors or Engineers as needed. Align with Subrogation Advocates, Special Investigation Unit Adjusters to obtain the needed information for processing. Write accurate estimates utilizing Xactimate to capture the extent of damage according to policy interpretation. Accurately adjust the reserves throughout the claim handling process. Settle claims promptly and fairly, adhering to customer policies. Utilize advanced video technology for remote collaboration and estimating. Review policies to determine coverage and provide detailed explanations to customers. Communicate empathetically with customers, guiding them through the claim process. Negotiate claim settlements in accordance with established methodologies. Work in various environments, including independent and team settings, and virtual platforms. Handle claims, collaborate with vendors, collaborate with other Allstate adjusters when needed and communicate with customers keeping them informed throughout the process. Participate in online meetings and trainings, being on camera as required. Handle daily tasks with policy holders or internal communications timely. Must have high level desk management skills. Maintain all metrics that are aligned with the job requirements. The Investigator – you’ll confidently and independently investigate property claims by performing detailed reviews of damage and interpreting policies to determine coverage. The Effective Communicator – you’ll use phone, emails, text and sometimes even video chat with customers to help them through a fast, fair, and easy claims process. You’ll also incorporate a specific approach to claim handling to offer the customer their preference of communication to efficiently discuss their claim needs and keep them updated on the claim progress. The Negotiator – You will evaluate and negotiate claims settlements with customers, vendors, Public Adjusters, third party carriers and claimants, in accordance with all legal and business standard methodologies. With negotiations, you will incorporate tactics in handling challenging and complex situations. The Problem Solver –you’ll utilize multiple tools to get the job done in a fast-paced environment, including estimate tools, job aids, and additional settlement platforms, all while using your sharp critical thinking skills. The Recorder – you’ll protect the company financially by executing policies along policy agreements, and you keep a clear record of your work in a claims system that you will be trained on. You’ll accomplish this by ensuring timely and accurate documentation is completed as you work on each claim.
