Heartline Staffing, in partnership with Purple Cow Recruiting, is seeking an experienced Critical Care Float Registered Nurse for a travel assignment in Augusta, Georgia. This role supports a hospital-wide float pool covering ICU, PCU, Med-Surg, and specialty critical care units including Neuro ICU and CVICU. POSITION OVERVIEW This assignment is ideal for adaptable ICU nurses who are confident working across multiple levels of care, managing varying patient acuity, and delivering high-quality care in dynamic environments. ASSIGNMENT DETAILS • 12-week contract • Day shift 3x12s (07:00–19:00) • ICU ratio 1:2–3; PCU 1:4–5; MS 1:5-6 • Weekend requirement: every other weekend • Floating required across ICU, PCU, MS/Tele units • 1 position available COMPENSATION Because travel rates change frequently based on market demand and facility needs, our recruiters provide the most current and competitive pay packages during your initial conversation. Each compensation package is customized and may include taxable hourly wages along with tax-free stipends when applicable. CLINICAL RESPONSIBILITIES • Provide care across ICU, PCU, and Med-Surg patient populations • Manage ventilated patients and advanced respiratory support (BiPAP, HFNC) • Interpret ABGs and manage critical care interventions • Administer medications, blood products, and IV therapies • Manage central lines, arterial lines, and invasive monitoring • Monitor telemetry and manage dysrhythmias • Support neuro and post-surgical patients including stroke and TBI • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams across units • Document care in Epic EMR WORK ENVIRONMENT • Acute care hospital setting • Resource Float Pool across ICU, Neuro ICU, CVICU, PCU, and Med-Surg • Adult and geriatric patient population • Epic charting system • Strong interdisciplinary support (IV team, RT, PT, pharmacy) Heartline Staffing is a Strategic Talent Partner with Purple Cow Recruiting. Requirements
- Minimum 1 year ICU RN experience REQUIRED
- First-time travelers accepted
- BLS, ACLS, NIHSS REQUIRED
- Epic experience REQUIRED
- Strong critical care and ventilator experience REQUIRED
- Ability to float across ICU, PCU, and Med-Surg units REQUIRED
- GA or Compact RN license REQUIRED (must be in hand)
