About The Position

Amerit Fleet Solutions, a leader in fleet maintenance across the U.S., is hiring a skilled Travelling Fleet Technician/Mechanic with Auto/Diesel/Equipment experience to join our team in Poca, WV. If you enjoy troubleshooting mechanical issues and keeping fleet vehicles running reliably, this is a great opportunity to grow your career with a stable national company. Must be a self-starter. Experienced in creating repair orders, and coordinated schedule with drivers and managers. The pay is $35.00 – $45.00/hour with weekly pay every Friday. The schedule is Monday - Friday: 7:00am - 3:30pm, but flexibility is required. This role involves travel requirements including East Coast, overnight travel, and flexibility with some weekend travel. Normal hours if not on the road would be 7am-3:30 at our Poca, WV location.

Requirements

5+ years’ of hands-on experience performing automotive vehicle maintenance and repairs
Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
Valid driver’s license
Ability to own and maintain the personal tools and toolbox required for the role
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
Willingness and ability to meet the physical demands of the position
Must be eligible to pass standard pre-employment screenings, including drug screen and DOT physical (if required)

Responsibilities

Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on light to medium duty fleet vehicles
Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues
Conduct inspections to ensure vehicles meet safety and compliance standards
Accurately document repairs and complete work orders
Maintain a clean and organized work area, including your tools and equipment
Follow all safety procedures and company policies
Collaborate with supervisors and team members to support fleet operations
