About The Position

R+L Carriers is hiring a Traveling Facility Maintenance Technician to perform preventative and routine maintenance at regional facilities, based at the Hagerstown, Maryland Service Center. The role involves maintaining offices, docks and warehouses, mechanic shops, fuel islands, and other related stations. Travel expenses for fuel, hotels, and meals are covered, and a company service vehicle and large tools and equipment are provided. The schedule requires extensive travel: nine days on the road followed by five days off. The hourly rate is $26.00–$28.00.

Requirements

• At least two years of experience in electrical work (three phase), plumbing, welding, and carpentry.
• Own hand tools, such as wrenches and screwdrivers.
• Good motor vehicle record with no driving restrictions.
• Ability to meet the extensive travel schedule: nine days on the road, five days off.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and routine maintenance throughout regional facilities.
• Maintain overhead doors, dock plates, lighting, and electrical systems, including three-phase electrical work.
• Perform light concrete work and light plumbing repairs, including work on fixtures and lines.
• Perform drywall repairs, painting, and metal siding maintenance.
• Maintain offices, docks and warehouses, mechanic shops, fuel islands, and other related stations.
• Travel on the required schedule of nine days on the road followed by five days off.
