About The Position

General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) is seeking a skilled and experienced deployment readiness travel coordinator to support GSE&SC travel, CONUS and OCONUS. This role involves complex administrative and analytical tasks, including developing travel plans, budgets, schedules, and visa requirements for overseas deployments. The coordinator will monitor tasks, report performance, and interact with Department of State personnel and other industry representatives to ensure customer requirements are met. The position is part of a team supporting various deployment activities such as training, deployment, and communication services for domestic and overseas branch operations. The role requires tracking and maintaining traveler readiness records, including training, passports, and medical clearances, and managing worldwide travel logistics. The coordinator will also determine travel requirements, requisitions, and reporting materials, manage multiple branch projects simultaneously, and establish project travel plans. Independent decision-making is expected for developing travel materials, ensuring they are clear, concise, instructionally sound, FAR compliant, and support learning objectives. The role involves preparing reports, monitoring travel tasks, and providing input to the Project Lead and Contractor Program Manager on travel validation and modifications. Collaboration within a team environment and managing multiple projects for a fast-paced government customer are key aspects of this position.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or a related discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, professional training, or work experience.
  • 2+ years of related experience
  • Microsoft Office, Concur, SharePoint management, eCC
  • Interim Secret Clearance or higher to start
  • US citizenship required
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent initiatives with limited oversight.

Responsibilities

  • Developing plans, including budgets, travel schedules and visa requirements for overseas deployment of security technology technicians.
  • Monitoring tasks and reporting performance against plans to ensure contractual, cost, and schedule objectives are met.
  • Interacting regularly with Department of State personnel and other industry representatives to ensure conformance to customer requirements.
  • Tracking and maintaining records for travelers’ deployment readiness to include: Training, Passports, Medical Clearances and other requirements deemed necessary for travel.
  • Developing, maintaining, and managing worldwide travel.
  • Determining travel requirements, requisitions, and reporting materials used in travel for individuals and teams.
  • Managing multiple branch projects simultaneously involving successfully organizing, planning, and executing large-scale branch projects from vision through implementation.
  • Establishing project travel plans including audience, approach, design, and list of deliverables.
  • Using independent decision-making to design and develop travel materials, reference materials, presentation materials and job aids. Ensure all materials are clear, concise, instructionally sound, and directly support learning objectives; ensure materials are FAR compliant.
  • Preparing reports and monitoring travel tasks in support of the goals of the Contractor Program Manager and the government sponsor(s) using standard travel standards and software and hardware programs.
  • Providing input to the Project Lead and the Contractor Program Manager on decisions for travel validation and/or modifications of specified items or systems.
  • Working in, and supporting, a collaborative team environment.
  • Managing multiple projects support of fast-paced government customer needs.
  • Provide guidance and work leadership to less experienced employees.
  • Participate in special projects as required.
