About The Position

Short’s Travel Management, a leading provider of NCAA Athletic travel for collegiate athletics, has an immediate opening for a Travel Consultant with its Sports travel department. This position may be remote. As the first contact for our Sports Travel clients, this position is responsible for domestic and basic international customer travel requests for group and individual travel. Travel requests are received and responded to via all means of business contact (phone, e-mail or portal) for air, hotel and car reservations in an efficient, courteous and timely manner. This position manages all functions relating to the booking, administrative and accounting tasks necessary to process electronic or other travel documents as it relates to customer requests and industry requirements necessary to process electronic or other travel documents, including support of on-line bookings. Shifts may be 9a - 6p or 10a - 7p. CT, with the expectation to proactively manage and minimize overtime as well.

Requirements

Minimum of 3 years of experience as a travel consultant.
Group Travel experience is essential.
GDS, internet, Concur Online booking tool and portal knowledge.
Flexibility to work nights and weekends during peak travel periods and during emergency travel situations.

Nice To Haves

Travelport+ experience is preferred.
Experience handling VIP clients is preferred.
Microsoft Office skills preferred (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Responsibilities
