Technica LLC seeks to recruit for the position of Travel Clerk III on a Government contract with a place of performance at El Paso TX. This role involves performing transportation duties to facilitate government-sponsored personal property shipments and serving as a team member in duties involving the receipt, storage, issue, and shipment of personal property. The position requires following specific procedures, operating basic office equipment, and possessing familiarity with office terminology. The Travel Clerk III will perform various clerical tasks, including storage management, cataloging, filing, and adapting or interpreting guides and manuals. They will also be responsible for referring recognized problems to others and maintaining a safe work record. A key aspect of the role is the ability to read, comprehend, and execute pertinent travel regulations, brief small and large groups, and counsel military personnel and their families on various types of moves, including Personally Procured Moves (PPM) and household goods claims. The position also involves administrative support, report compilation, and handling complaints. Assignments require a good working knowledge of governing supply systems, programs, policies, and manuals, as well as analytical ability to recognize and solve problems. The role includes processing documents for data input, checking orders for accuracy, compiling reports, and completing tasks in a timely manner. Adherence to Technica's employee handbook, dress code, identification badge, and cellular phone guidance is expected. The Travel Clerk III will assist customers via front desk, email, and telephone, and must be familiar with JTR, DTR, and the 'It's Your Move' pamphlet. They will provide general information on the DPS system, guidance on POV shipments, and review/accept signed documents. Counseling and entering shipments in the Defense Personal Property System (DPS) is a core duty, along with briefing deployment storage entitlements, Levy and ETS briefs, and processing PPM advances. Familiarity with retirement entitlements, extension requests, and assisting the Material Coordinator are also part of the role. The Travel Clerk III will process PPMs for DFAS payment and liaise with different branches of service and agencies on post. The ability to brief in detail regarding entitlements, answer telephones, and manage voicemails and emails is essential. Excellent mathematical, written, and verbal communication skills are required.
