About The Position

Hawthorne Health is seeking dual-credentialed Cardiac and Vascular Sonographers for a decentralized clinical study. The role involves traveling locally or across state lines to participants’ homes to conduct cardiac and vascular imaging visits, averaging approximately 25 visits per month. The monthly stipend reflects scan compensation and guaranteed availability for a period of 3–4 months, with the potential to extend. The sonographer transports and sets up portable ultrasound equipment, explains procedures to participants, obtains their informed cooperation, and performs echocardiograms and vascular imaging studies according to study protocols. The role includes monitoring participant comfort and safety, following sponsor and protocol-specific imaging guidelines, ensuring accurate image acquisition and labeling for cardiology review, completing preliminary reports with measurements and comments, maintaining quality standards consistent with ASE Standards, and troubleshooting imaging equipment.

Requirements

• Active registration in both cardiac and vascular imaging, such as RDCS or RCS plus RVT or RVS through ARDMS or CCI.
• Full-time or close-to-full-time availability.
• At least 3 years of recent sonography experience in both cardiac and vascular imaging.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and willingness to travel locally or regionally.
• Access to a personal computer and reliable internet; comfortable and self-sufficient with digital tools.
• Ability to work independently in non-traditional settings.
• Excellent patient communication and bedside manner.
• Adaptability in dynamic, field-based environments.
• Time management and organizational skills.
