About The Position

We are seeking experienced Traveling Cable / Low‑Voltage Technicians to low voltage rollout projects. This role involves nationwide travel, working as part of a team to install, cable, test, and troubleshoot low voltage systems. Technicians will be responsible for complete end‑to‑end installation activities, including structured cabling, hardware mounting, validation, and documentation.

Requirements

  • Current/Valid State's drivers license - Will be traveling in company vehicle
  • 2+ years of IP Camera or Wireless Access Points Experience
  • Ability to read blueprints, installation scopes, and diagrams
  • Experience operating a scissor lift for installations
  • 2+ years experience in low‑voltage or structured cabling environments
  • Strong hands‑on experience with: CAT5e/CAT6 cabling, Termination and testing, Retail or commercial environments
  • Ability to read and follow installation scopes, shot guides, and diagrams
  • Comfortable working in IDFs and ladder/lift environments
  • Basic understanding of network connectivity and troubleshooting
  • Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy
  • Ability to travel 100% nationwide for extended periods
  • Ability to work overnight shifts and maintain productivity

Nice To Haves

  • Fluke certification or strong testing experience
  • Conduit bending or light electrical/EMT experience
  • Experience working with ServiceNow or similar ticketing/documentation systems

Responsibilities

  • Perform structured cabling (CAT5e/CAT6)
  • Terminate, label, and organize cabling in IDFs and camera locations
  • Test and certify cabling using industry‑standard testing equipment (Fluke preferred)
  • Unistrut
  • Conduit
  • Surface and ceiling mounts
  • Verify network connectivity to required IDFs
  • Make physical camera adjustments as requested by the client AP team
  • Return to sites as needed for follow‑up adjustments or corrections
  • Capture and upload required deliverables: Test results, Validation documentation
  • Upload documentation into ServiceNow
  • Follow all site safety, PPE, and customer requirements
  • Work effectively in teams of four on overnight shifts (typically four nights per store)
