This role is responsible for coordinating trauma services within the facility. The coordinator will consult with care team members on patient care delivery and the achievement of desired patient outcomes. They will also develop, implement, and maintain quality improvement activities, including outcome and cost analysis, benchmark data report preparation, trauma registry report preparation, and clinical indicators review. A key responsibility is overseeing the timely completion, accuracy, and report generation of the trauma registry. Additionally, the coordinator will serve as a resource and educator to healthcare team members, patients, families, and community organizations regarding trauma, and will coordinate and develop community trauma prevention programs, community offerings, and clinical education activities.
