About The Position

This position requires knowledge of the ACS trauma verification, review, and consultation program and its management. The role also involves understanding medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, National Trauma Database inclusion criteria, trauma data abstracting, database record management, trauma program management, and trauma data procedures. The ideal candidate will be able to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced, changing environment, demonstrate self-motivation, goal setting, and the ability to meet deadlines. Leadership, mentoring, and interpersonal skills are essential, as are excellent presentation, verbal, and written communication skills. The role requires maintaining courteous and professional working relationships with employees at all levels of the organization, and demonstrating excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in operating a personal computer and utilizing various software applications is necessary. Knowledge of NTDB, standard compliance, and HIPAA HITECH standards affecting medical records and their impact on reimbursement and accreditation is also required.
