About The Position
The Trauma APP provides inpatient, consultative, and perioperative care as part of a collaborative trauma team that includes attending surgeons, residents, and intensivists. This role is at Kaweah Health Medical Center, a level III 435-bed teaching hospital with the volume and resources of a Level II trauma center, experiencing 2,200 annual trauma activations and a thriving General Surgery Residency Program. The trauma and ACS teams work in close partnership with intensivists to deliver seamless, high-acuity care.
Requirements
- Licensed PA-C, ACNP, or NP
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team
Nice To Haves
- Surgical experience preferred
- Strong interest in teaching and academic medicine
Responsibilities
- Provide daytime coverage for trauma and ACS services (10-hour shifts)
- Assist in surgical ward and ICU management
- Conduct ER consults, postoperative care, and discharge planning
