About The Position
We are hiring immediately for a full time TRASH TECHNICIAN (OVERNIGHT) position. This role involves collecting, transporting, and properly disposing of trash and bio-hazardous materials following established safety protocols. As part of Compass Healthcare, TouchPoint Support Services serves hospitality for patients, families, and visitors at Ascension Health hospitals across the U.S., creating moments that matter through meals, facilities, and patient support.
Requirements
- Prior experience in safely and properly handling, transporting, and disposing of medical and biohazard waste.
- Must have physical ability to walk, stand and push trash containers weighing 50 to 100 pounds.
- Ability to follow written and oral instructions in English.
Responsibilities
- Identifies, transports, and disposes of trash, chemicals, and bio-hazardous materials using proper safety procedures.
- Performs cleaning functions as assigned; properly operates cleaning equipment as designated.
- Recognizes safety hazards and acts accordingly.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
