Part-Time Evening Trash Collector
About The Position
Greenway Waste & Recycling is hiring part-time evening Trash Collectors to service apartment communities in the Ann Arbor, Michigan 48105 area. This contractor (1099) position offers a consistent Sunday-through-Thursday evening route, with a start time of 8:00 PM and shifts lasting 1 to 4 hours depending on the community. Friday and Saturday are off. Compensation is flat-rate, ranging from $20 to $65 per service night or approximately $400 to $1,300 per month, depending on community size. Paid training is provided, and additional communities may offer opportunities to increase earnings and grow within the company. Collectors pick up bagged trash and recycling from residents’ doorsteps and transport it to an on-site dumpster or compactor area. The work is performed independently and involves walking outdoors through the apartment community while following company policies and safety procedures. A truck, trailer, or cargo/utility van and a smartphone are required. Applicants must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and pass a background check and drug screening.
