About The Position

The Noninvasive Lab is a specialized department within a healthcare facility dedicated to performing diagnostic tests and supporting improved quality of life for patients. This unit, composed of registered nurses, nuclear medicine technicians, sonographers, and exercise physiologists, provides high-quality care to assist physicians in diagnosing, managing, and treating cardiovascular conditions. Additionally, our Cardiac Rehab program helps patients recover and improve their heart health following a cardiac event. Transporters will also assist in patient care in the Cardiovascular Lab as needed.

Requirements

• High School graduate or GED.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required. If not already certified, applicants must obtain BLS within 30 days of their hire date.

Nice To Haves

• Previous hospital/transport experience desirable.
• Less than one year.

Responsibilities

• Transfers patients with appropriate utilization of mechanical lifts.
• Responsible for the transport of Baptist Health patients to and from departments within the hospital and transporting discharged patients to one of the main lobby exits (preferably 1740 in South tower and 1700 in North tower).
• Responsible for transporting in-patients to and from Cardiovascular Lab/In-patient Echo lab for cardiac testing.
• Responsible for transporting out-patients from Cardiovascular Lab to discharge.
• Other duties as necessary to assist with patient flow in Cardiovascular Lab.
