Requirements

Must be able to communicate effectively in English.
Must possess the ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
Must be able to provide compassionate patient care.
Must be able to operate elevators.
Must be able to push/pull patients and equipment.
Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods.
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in a healthcare setting.
Experience with patient transport.
Familiarity with AIDET communication tool.

Responsibilities

Responsible for the safe, timely and accurate transport of patients, medical equipment and patient-related items to and from their destinations in a professional, courteous and compassionate manner.
Ensures all patient interactions are conducted using the concept of AIDET as the primary communication tool.
Movement of equipment, supplies and operation of elevators to facilitate patient and equipment transports.
Transporting patients, equipment and supplies between nursing units, diagnostic areas, emergency department and morgue.
Must work collaboratively with Management, the Dispatch Call Center and all healthcare team personnel.
