Patient Transporter - Part Time - Rotating
About The Position
As a Transporter, you will be responsible for observing and reporting safety hazards and broken vehicles to the Lead Transporter for immediate repair. You will transport patients on stretchers, beds, and wheelchairs from one area of the hospital to a designated area within the hospital campus, maintaining a safe and therapeutic environment for the patient being transported. You will promptly report any concerns of patients and/or happenings during transport to appropriate personnel. You will cooperatively assist in lifting patients in and out of bed as requested, exercising proper lifting techniques. Additionally, you will clean wheelchairs and ensure each area has an adequate number, and keep an incident log of transports. You will perform all other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma/Equivalent
- CPR Certification - issued by AHA
- Fingerprint & Child Abuse History Clearance (completed in onboarding if offered the position)
