About The Position
St. Francis Hospital, a member of Trinity Health Mid Atlantic, is seeking a Transporter to join our Team. This is a Full Time position with a Day Shift schedule. The purpose of this role is to transport patients and equipment safely throughout the St. Francis Medical Center campus.
Requirements
- HS diploma or equivalency (required)
- CPR Certification- issue by AHA
- Fingerprint & Child Abuse History Clearance (completed during onboarding once hired)
Responsibilities
- Observe for and report safety hazards and broken vehicles to the Lead Transporter for immediate repair.
- Transport patients on stretchers, beds, and wheelchairs from one area of the hospital to designated area within the hospital campus, maintaining a safe and therapeutic environment for the patient being transported.
- Promptly report any concerns of patients and/or happenings during transport to appropriate personnel.
- Cooperatively assist in lifting patients in and out of beds as requested, exercising proper lifting techniques.
- Clean wheelchairs and ensures that each area has an adequate number.
- Keep incident log of transports.
