This is a PRN (As Needed) Day Shift opportunity for a Transporter at Deer Valley Medical Center and John C. Lincoln Medical Center. Requirements

High school Diploma or GED
Basic Life Support (BLS) - Certification, Basic Life Support BLS training Upon Hire Required

Nice To Haves

6 months work experience in healthcare and customer service

Responsibilities

Transports patients and materials throughout all hospital areas.
Maintains individual average transport time within guidelines.
Maintains transport equipment and supplies.
Complies with regulations, safety, and patient care protocols.
Ensures customer service and quality standards are met in communication with patients, staff, and the public.
Transports patients by wheelchair, stretcher, bed, or chair, and handles non-patient moves to and from designated areas or departments.
Complies with all safety protocols when transporting patients and materials.
Uses proper body mechanics.
Ensures patient safety when transferring patients.
Operates company-issued mobile devices.
May include dispatch role.
Maintains accurate documentation and completes accurate handoff with clinical staff.
Communicates appropriately with patients and the care team.
Introduces him or herself, verifies patient identity, and informs the patient of their destination.
Follows HonorHealth Standards of Conduct and demonstrates ICARE values.
Complies with established PPE guidelines and proper handling of patients.
Maintains wheelchairs and stretchers appropriately.
Sanitizes equipment following established protocols.
Immediately reports equipment malfunctions and removes items from service.
Utilizes Electronic Medical Record system(s) consistently for safe and efficient transport of patients.
