Requirements
- High School Diploma, GED, or relevant experience required.
- BLS Certification (American Heart Association) required.
Nice To Haves
- 1–2 years of experience in an acute care facility preferred
Responsibilities
- Safely transport patients to/from units, assist on/off x-ray tables, and transfer in/out of beds or wheelchairs.
- Maintain the integrity of indwelling catheters during transport and practice proper body mechanics.
- Promptly alert nursing personnel when a patient leaves or returns to the unit.
- Adapt communication and handling to meet the unique physical and age-related needs of every patient.
- Follow all hospital policies for safety, quality improvement, and infection control.
