About The Position

MUSC/Florence, SC seeking PRN Transporter. Join our team as a Transporter and play a vital role in patient care while enjoying a dynamic position that combines hospital transportation, employee shuttle driving, and golf cart operation. The Transporter reports to the Division Operations Manager and operates under general supervision. This role is responsible for the safe, efficient, and timely transport of patients throughout the MUSC campus while maintaining a high standard of patient care. Additionally, this position supports the movement and positioning of essential medical equipment, including wheelchairs, oxygen tanks, beds, and related items, within the hospital. This position will also operate the hospital employee shuttle, transporting employees safely and efficiently between a designated local parking lot and the hospital. The Transporter will frequently operate golf carts to safely transport patients between designated parking areas and the hospital.

Requirements

High School Degree or Equivalent
0–6 months of experience
BLS required
Valid South Carolina driver's license required

Responsibilities

Safe, efficient, and timely transport of patients throughout the MUSC campus.
Maintain a high standard of patient care.
Support the movement and positioning of essential medical equipment, including wheelchairs, oxygen tanks, beds, and related items, within the hospital.
Operate the hospital employee shuttle, transporting employees safely and efficiently between a designated local parking lot and the hospital.
Operate golf carts to safely transport patients between designated parking areas and the hospital.
