About The Position

The Transporter (Forklift Operator) reports to the Warehouse Supervisor and is responsible for operating a forklift to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. The Transporter (Forklift Operator) is accountable for the safe and efficient operation of various types of industrial power equipment and will be required to perform loading/unloading, order filler/picker, material handler/stocker, production supply, and checker duties, as well as any project work required. This role also involves maintaining the facility’s equipment and materials in a neat, clean, and orderly fashion, and performing daily inspections and minor maintenance on the forklift. Operators are cross-trained for coating/corn syrup receiving and PO receiving (raw material).

  • Wearing proper personal protective equipment (hair net, bump cap, ear plugs, safety shoes, and uniform).
  • Bending, stooping, twisting, turning, standing for extended time periods, reaching, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Required to work weekends.
  • Required to work mandatory overtime when needed.

Responsibilities

  • Perform daily Redzone Food Safety and GMP’s Audits.
  • Ensure inbound and outbound shipments are accurate and free of damage, reporting quality variances.
  • Pull and prepare product for shipment, ensuring the correct quantity and type of product is loaded and shipped, meeting customer service standards.
  • Efficiently move product from staging and/or storage areas into rail cars or trailers.
  • Load, unload, move, stack, and stage product and materials using a forklift, clamp truck, or other power equipment.
  • Utilize radio frequency equipment for picking, receiving, put away, and load functions.
  • Maintain appropriate records and reports to ensure accuracy of bin location and inventory quantity, control, and security.
  • Assist in physical inventories and ensure proper stock rotation.
  • Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area, assist in maintaining warehouse security, and conduct operations safely, complying with OSHA and MSDS Standards.
  • Support Production with requests on the production floor, including movements of pallets.
  • Perform cycle counts, validate inventory, audit paperwork, and execute AX transactions.
  • Complete additional tasks assigned by Supervision/Lead.
