About The Position
The Transportation Worker provides safe transportation and support for clients and families within the foster care system. Trips may include transportation for medical, educational, clinical, and visitation purposes. This is a per-diem position based at the Herkimer Road Office in Utica, New York, with all work travel on the road. The position is on the day shift and pays $19.47 per hour.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Valid and clean New York State driver's license.
- At least 2 years of driving experience.
Nice To Haves
- Experience working with children who have behavioral and/or mental health issues.
Responsibilities
- Transport clients and families to and from medical, educational, clerical, and visitation appointments.
- Collect provider notes and make necessary copies for providers and nurses.
- Provide appropriate supervision to youth based on their age and identified treatment needs.
- Complete all required agency trainings.
- Perform other tasks as requested by the supervisor.
