As a Transportation Technician, you will perform the following duties: Construction Inspection: Assist with inspecting routine phases of highway construction including grades, elevations, and work zone controls Project Documentation: Review work unit records and materials used to ensure accuracy and conformance with policies Field Observation: Observe construction operations and enforce contract requirements to maintain quality standards Technical Review: Read and research plans, drawings, contracts, specifications, and manuals related to construction projects Material Testing: Support testing of materials and interpret specifications for sampling and inspection methods Record Maintenance: Prepare and update inspection reports, sketches, field notes, and project documentation including electronic applications
