About The Position
VHB is looking for an on call Transportation Technician to join us! This is an exciting opportunity to work within a dynamic team in our Orlando, FL office with our Data Collection department. The expected hours for this position can vary from 10-40 hours per week.
Requirements
- 0-1 years of experience in data collection
- High school diploma or GED
- Must possess an active driver’s license
- Must have open availability and flexible with scheduling and must communicate with manager regarding schedules on a regular basis
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to learn how to operate new devices and software quickly
- Ability to work within timeframe and deadlines, and follow strict procedure and safety guidelines
- Reliable transportation and cellphone
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Team oriented with strong capability to work independently
Responsibilities
- Counting vehicles at intersections (manually or via video)
- Placing rubber tubes in road to count traffic
- Deploying cameras at intersections (download/upload videos)
- Sketches, digital photographs, and other field data information
- Maintaining data collection equipment and vehicles (regular oil changes, tune-ups, etc.)
