Requirements

High School Diploma or general educational development (GED) certificate
Valid Michigan license
A safe driving record
Ability to respond to and follow instructions or a regular established routine
Ability to provide or exchanging routine information
Ability to provide simple assistance and cooperation
Ability to work with customers, internal and external, in a positive manner
Capable of carrying 50 pounds

Nice To Haves

Lived experience with behavioral health issues

Responsibilities

Drive vehicle in a safe manner
Assist persons served on/off vehicle, secure / stabilize wheelchairs to restraining devices
Utilize cell telephone to communicate/report status
Keep vehicle supplied with gas and oil, in a clean and orderly condition, and report any maintenance needs
Maintain first aid kit in a secure spot and resupply as needed
Comply with Transportation Policy (09-002-0010), Alcohol & Drug Testing Policy (06-001-0010), and Background Check Policy (06-001-0015)
Perform maintenance task
Perform minor repairs
Document incident reports
Comply with supervisors/designees directives
Complete daily documentation requirements
Perform other duties as required by program supervisor/designee
Maintain confidentiality
