About The Position

Technical Assent is seeking a Transportation Team Lead to support our federal client and lead a team within the Transportation Directorate. This role provides senior-level leadership across transportation policy, programs, and operations, applying broad logistics expertise to analyze requirements, manage risk, develop practical solutions, and support effective end-to-end transportation capabilities. The team works on government programs that have strategic importance to clients, focusing on delivering services day-to-day while simultaneously looking for opportunities to improve.

Requirements

TS/SCI Clearance Required
Bachelor's Degree plus five (5) years of relevant experience
DoD background and knowledge of OSW Staff operations

Nice To Haves

Demonstrated knowledge of DoD transportation policies with experience in airlift operations.
Experience with operations of the U.S. Maritime Administration (MARAD), Military Sealift Command (MSC), and Army Transportation Command.
Background with VISA, VTA, TSP, and MSP programs is a plus.
Experience with chartered, commercial, and organic sealift requirements.
Working knowledge of the Jones Act and cargo preference requirements

Responsibilities

Support a team of Transportation Analysts responsible for Transportation Directorate governance, programs, and daily assignments.
Mitigate risk, maintain quality standards, and collaborate with the client and project team.
Oversee and provide technical updates to transportation policies, directives, and regulations.
Oversee policy exception requests, Defense Transportation Regulation (DTR) changes, and domicile-to-duty approvals.
Manage working groups and oversee Joint Transportation Management System (JTMS) initiatives.
Perform data analysis and reporting and apply category management practices to improve efficiency.
Conduct research on industry best practices and provide recommendations to support efficiency.
