Requirements

Knowledge of Transportation Industry
Must have ability to make decisions and solve problems
Must have a working knowledge of MS Office with emphasis on Excel and Word
Have the ability to work any shift as needed
Long periods of sitting, standing, and exposure to heat and cold, can be expected
Able to communicate effectively in English, verbally and in writing and apply principles of good customer service to supervisors, peers, subordinates, and clients

Responsibilities

Ensuring that all loads are delivered safely and on time.
Invoicing the product so all documents are in the driver’s possession at time of departure.
Planning work assignments and establishing schedules to ensure that the drivers are on time and that transportation goals and expectations are met.
Interpreting transportation regulations, shipping orders, safety regulations, and TFSW policies and procedures for workers.
Tracking loads to ensure on time delivery and communicate appropriately with the customers and other personnel to exchange information and resolve problems.
Verifying that the drivers have all the tools and documents needed to successfully complete their trips.
Monitoring reports, time records, material use, and reviewing DVIR’s to ensure that the equipment is maintained, and preventative maintenance is scheduled.
Explaining and demonstrating work tasks to new employees and assigning training tasks to experienced employees.
Recommending, implementing, and maintaining measures to improve employee motivation, equipment performance, work methods and customer services.
Enforcing safety rules and ensuring all drivers are operating within the guidelines of the FMCSA, DOT and GMP’s and properly reporting work-related accidents and incidents.
Having the invoicing completed on time and accurately.
