Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of two years of experience in guest transportation is required
  • Valid Florida CDL Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record and a passenger endorsement.
  • Ability to interact with guests utilizing conversational English.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Strong knowledge of traffic laws and safety regulations
  • Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to remain calm and make quick decisions in stressful situations.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Capable of performing role in a busy work environment
  • Capable of working flexible scheduled hours, including weekdays, weekends, nights, holidays and rotating schedules.
  • Proficient in reading safety procedures and operating guidelines / instructions in English
  • Able to sit for extended periods of time.
  • Able to safely lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Vision, hearing and manual dexterity
  • Subject to environmental conditions, work activities can occur inside and outside

Responsibilities

  • Lead, train, and supervise a team of shuttle drivers, ensuring they adhere to resort policies and meet service standards.
  • Assist with creation and maintenance of shuttle driver schedules to ensure adequate coverage for all shifts and routes, including peak hours.
  • Plan and optimize shuttle routes, coordinate departures, and address route deviations as needed.
  • Ensure that all shuttle drivers follow safety protocols, conduct regular vehicle inspections, and report maintenance issues promptly.
  • Maintain a high standard of customer service by addressing guest inquiries and concerns, as well as assisting with golf clubs and boarding.
  • Maintain accurate transportation logs, mileage records, and fuel consumption reports.
  • Provide training and performance feedback to shuttle drivers, supporting their professional growth.
  • Be prepared to manage emergency situations, such as accidents or vehicle breakdowns, ensuring the safety and comfort of passengers.
  • Oversee the inventory of shuttle supplies, such as fuel, cleaning materials, and safety equipment.
  • Interact with Resort Guest and golfers, answer questions, and provide directions
  • Safely operate resort shuttle vehicles, while adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by assisting guests with loading and unloading, answering questions, and ensuring a pleasant and comfortable experience during transport.
  • Assist with training future Team Members promoting the Evermore brand, guiding principles, and service delivery culture.
  • Be familiar with resort property and surrounding areas to navigate effectively and provide directions to passengers.
  • Assist with creating schedules to meet resort demands and occupancy levels.
  • Communicate any safety or vehicle related issues to the Transportation Manager.
  • Assist with manage fleet inventory, maintenance service, accident reports with the insurance carrier, and guest injuries calls.
  • Conduct periodic training exercises for all resort Team Members operating company vehicles, golf carts, and service moving equipment.
  • Track vehicles inspections, registration cards, and insurance cards for annual expiration
  • Assist with schedule and negotiate vehicle maintenance with vendors and mechanic shops.
  • Assist in providing new hire training and orientation.
  • Assist to ensure transportation Team Members are trained.
  • Communicate effectively within the department and with other operating departments.
  • Interact with Resort Operations and Event partners to support specials requests, events, and incidents.
  • Be present in operation, interacting with guests and Team Members, and ensuring quality standards.
  • Ensure Team Members have knowledge of resort operations to answer guest questions.
  • Provide direction to the assigned shift by assisting in the calls for service.
  • Assist the Transportation Manager in providing work performance feedback on drivers.
  • Maintain the highest level of employee/guest relations.
  • Must be budget conscious and work toward the overall profitability of the resort.
  • Assist with audit and track driving licenses expiration date, restrictions, medical certification for specialized vehicles.
  • Must be well-mannered, greet guests and Team Members when encountered, and show appreciation to the guest for being at the resort, show willingness to always help guests and Team Members.
  • Keep storage area clean, organized and stocked
  • Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures
  • Report maintenance defects to Manager
  • Perform other duties as assigned
