About The Position

The Transportation Supervisor will supervise staff as needed within the Transportation Department, including bus drivers, valets, dispatchers, and truck drivers. This role involves assisting with loading buses for parties, helping with scheduling, attending resume meetings, and building employee morale and spirit. The supervisor will engage and coach employees on job performance, ensure safety standards and company policies are followed, and possess the ability to communicate effectively with guests to resolve challenging situations. General knowledge of office, telephone, and computer procedures is expected, along with checking in with dispatchers before leaving for the day. The selected candidate must also be able to perform additional duties during emergency situations.

Requirements

  • Previous work experience in the Transportation field required
  • Previous supervisory experience of a staff greater than 50 individuals
  • Must be detail oriented and able to manage competing priorities in a fast paced environment
  • High School Diploma or G.E.D. required
  • Excellent Communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong communication skills to include: planning and leading meetings, responding to guest requests and letters, writing hotel wide communication memos
  • Ability to communicate to all departments in order to provide the highest level of guest service
  • Must possess a positive attitude and have the ability to work with a variety of people and in cooperation with coworkers efficiently and effectively
  • If applicable, Valid Driver’s License.
  • Strong financial skills, ability to build a budget, control payroll and expenses

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in the Fleet Management field preferred
  • Post secondary degree preferred or comparable work experience
  • Interest/knowledge of automotive mechanics and repair preferred

Responsibilities

  • Supervise as needed within Transportation Department (Bus driver, Valet, Dispatchers and Truck drivers)

  • Ability to communicate with guest and provide alternate solutions to challenging situations
  • Check with dispatchers in the garage and valet desk before leaving for the day.
