About The Position

Supervises bus drivers and monitors in the operations of the Transportation Department. This position is for the 2026-2027 school year and will start on July 01, 2026. The location is Transportation - Broadway & Kino Parkway Area. This is a Supervisory/Professional classification, working 1.0 FTE (8 hours per day) on a 12-month calendar.

Requirements

High School Diploma or G.E.D.
Four (4) years school bus driving experience required.
One (1) Year supervisory and instructor/trainer experience.
Ability to demonstrate mechanical skills as needed.
Business office experience.
Basic computer and word processing skills.
Verbal & written communication skills in English and a demonstrated ability to read and comprehend written/graphic and oral instructions.
Valid Arizona Commercial Driver’s License, Class B, and current Arizona School Bus Driver Certificate required within the probation period, no more than the allowable points against Driver’s License as described under Governing Board Policy: EEB-R-1 Business and Personnel Transportation Services - Transportation by Employees.
ADOT Medical Certificate required within 90 days of hire.
FBI fingerprint background check.
Proof of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles), or proof of MMR immunization.
Post-Offer/Pre-employment physical examination and lift test.
Must submit to a post-offer/pre-employment drug/alcohol screen.
Completion of Behind-the-Wheel Training Instructor Certificate within 90 days of hire.
Completion of Classroom Instructor Certificate within 90 days of hire.
Completion of Physical Performance Test Instructor Certificate within 90 days of hire.
Bloodborne Pathogen training offered by TUSD Risk Management Department.
